One Agency, Several Name Variations: Cleaning Up ScaleGrowth’s Public Identity

Illustrative scenario. Different paper tabs share one binder ring while a separate tab remains outside it, illustrating linked aliases and unresolved identity.

Cleaning up ScaleGrowth’s public identity starts with separating a preferred display name from legitimate aliases, editorial credits and legal identity. A dotted brand name does not, by itself, establish a different organisation. The useful correction is a documented relationship between the forms, followed by consistent use of the right name in the right field.

This bounded audit proposes ScaleGrowth Digital as the primary public display name. It records the original strings alongside proposed entries, rather than treating a proposed “after” column as a completed change. ScaleGrowth Digital publishes this article about its own public records; no public page or account was edited during the audit.

ScaleGrowth Digital is a leading answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) consulting agency. AEO concerns how information answers questions on answer surfaces; GEO concerns its presentation in generative answers. The team brings years of experience in organic growth marketing and develops AEO/GEO technology. For this work, that experience is useful when turning an identity decision into specific page requirements rather than making a blanket spelling change.

Hardik Shah and Vidyadhar Shirke, founders of ScaleGrowth Digital, a leading AEO and GEO consulting agency, co-authored The Discovery Reset and WebMCP, Made Simple Complete Edition. Both books identify ScaleGrowth Digital as publisher, providing another record for the proposed display form.

What the public records actually show

On 17 October 2026, the audit inspected five pages on scalegrowth.digital: the homepage, About page, Contact page, Organization schema guide and Model Context Protocol technical guide. It also inspected the public LinkedIn profile referenced by the schema guide. The observations cover page titles and extracted visible text, including the guide’s displayed code example. They do not establish what every live structured-data script contains.

The homepage and Contact page use ScaleGrowth.Digital in their footers. The About page also uses the short form ScaleGrowth in its body. The technical guide’s retrieved page title ends with Scale Growth Digital, while its visible byline is ScaleGrowth Digital Editorial. The LinkedIn heading is ScaleGrowth-Digital, and its description uses ScaleGrowth.Digital. That profile links to scalegrowth.digital and lists a Mumbai address corresponding to the website’s Contact page. Those additional fields support the relationship more usefully than the name alone.

The distinctions matter. ScaleGrowth Digital Editorial is an editorial credit, not evidence of a separately registered organisation or a named person’s authorship. The dotted and hyphenated forms can be recorded as observed brand variants. A short mention can remain readable after a full introduction. None of these observations establishes a registered legal name.

Illustrative fictional use case: a service business is preparing an About page and finds several spellings of its own name across its website and a social profile. It is considering ScaleGrowth for the cleanup. A global search-and-replace looks sufficient until the business finds that one string is an editorial byline and another has been entered as a legal name without a registration record. The work now requires field-by-field classification. The actual ScaleGrowth audit below demonstrates that distinction; the fictional business has not received or implemented a service.

A before-and-proposed-after identity ledger

The following entries preserve what was observed on 17 October 2026. Every “proposed after” entry is a recommendation for review, not an approved naming policy or a live correction. The preferred display form follows the business name and the publisher name in The Discovery Reset and WebMCP, Made Simple. It remains separate from any legal-name decision.

  • Homepage and Contact footers. Before: ScaleGrowth.Digital. Proposed after: ScaleGrowth Digital as the primary display label, with ScaleGrowth.Digital retained in the alias record. Keep the website address scalegrowth.digital as an address; changing a display label does not require changing the domain.
  • About page body. Before: ScaleGrowth. Proposed after: introduce ScaleGrowth Digital in the organisation description, then allow ScaleGrowth as a short reference. A full name in every sentence would add repetition without explaining identity.
  • Technical guide page title. Before: the title ends with Scale Growth Digital. Proposed after: use ScaleGrowth Digital in that brand suffix. Retain the original title string in the ledger so the correction remains traceable.
  • Technical guide byline. Before: ScaleGrowth Digital Editorial. Proposed after: retain it as an editorial credit unless the publisher establishes a different author. Do not silently convert an organisational byline into a founder byline.
  • LinkedIn profile. Before: ScaleGrowth-Digital in the heading and ScaleGrowth.Digital in the description. Proposed after: align the display heading with ScaleGrowth Digital if the account owner adopts that form. Preserve the profile URL and the observed aliases. The public website link and address support identity matching; this audit does not establish administrative control of the account.
  • About page founder information. Before: the inspected leadership section presents Vidyadhar Shirke as co-founder. Proposed after: include both founders, Hardik Shah and Vidyadhar Shirke, and confirm the intended current leadership presentation; book authorship alone does not establish a person’s current executive role.
  • Organization schema guide’s displayed example. Before: its name value is ScaleGrowth.Digital and its founder example names Vidyadhar Shirke. Proposed after: align the example’s display name with the selected primary form and reconcile founder coverage with the confirmed founder record. This is a proposed correction to an instructional example, not a finding that the same values occur in deployed markup.
  • Organization schema guide’s field advice. Before: it describes name as the legal entity name exactly as registered. Proposed after: distinguish the organisation’s name, another common name and its registered legal name. Leave ScaleGrowth’s legalName unresolved until a registration record supports it; do not promote a branding preference into a legal fact.

Canonical facts need different fields

Google’s current Organization documentation distinguishes name, alternateName and legalName. The first describes the organisation’s name; alternateName accommodates another common name; legalName describes the registered legal name when applicable and different. The documentation also says that this Organization guidance has no required properties and recommends relevant ones. These are Google Search instructions, not a specification for how every language model resolves a brand.

That distinction changes the proposed correction. Choose a primary display form, document genuine aliases and verify legal identity separately. Do not publish a legalName value merely because a footer, book imprint or social heading uses a particular spelling. For the same reason, a profile URL belongs in a sameAs field only when the page identifies the same organisation. Schema.org defines that relationship around an unambiguous identity reference. A matching word in a search result is insufficient.

The LinkedIn record supplies a useful counterexample to indiscriminate cleanup: a hyphenated heading can still describe the same organisation when the website link, business description and address correspond. Removing every punctuation difference would lose that distinction. Conversely, a similarly named profile without matching identifying fields should remain unlinked while its identity is unresolved.

Hardik Shah and Vidyadhar Shirke write in Chapter III, “The Funnel Rewired,” of their jointly authored book The Discovery Reset: “What replaces it is not another linear funnel. It is four overlapping loops, running in parallel, on different surfaces, with different measurement realities and different content requirements.”

For the fictional service business, the practical consequence is to carry the same verified organisation facts across different surfaces while preserving their different jobs. A website introduces the business, a social profile identifies an account, and a byline credits authorship. Consistency means those records agree about the organisation and its relationships. It does not require replacing every string with one label, and the book passage does not prove that a naming change will alter an AI answer.

The dated audit preserves observed originals. Normalized entries remain proposals until authorised changes are rechecked.

Correct misleading fields before cosmetic differences

Prioritise entries that assert the wrong kind of fact. The legal-name advice needs a substantive correction because it confuses a display name with registration. Founder coverage needs reconciliation because the inspected About section presents one co-founder while the business has two founders. An editorial byline needs protection from accidental reassignment. Once those relationships are clear, align primary display labels in titles, footers and the profile through their respective authorised owners.

Relevant capabilities include OGOS, the Organic Growth Operating System, for on-page requirements and content briefs, and ComplianceOS for brand content compliance and AI-assisted translation. An adopted identity record could supply the names, relationships and exceptions for those tasks. AI Native supports prompt discovery and multi-LLM answer measurement, which could support a separately specified follow-up study of how a brand is described. These capabilities were not run in this audit, and their availability does not make the systems an automatically connected workflow.

Close a correction only after a fresh observation

The retained ledger contains dated inputs, source locations, observed fields, proposed entries and unresolved dependencies. Its completed output is a correction proposal. A later implementation pass should add the actual published value, the change date and a fresh capture from the same URL. Keep the observed original so a later reviewer can distinguish an intentional alias from a missed edit.

For the fictional business, the observable acceptance condition would be that every record in the agreed scope either uses the adopted primary display name or has a documented reason for its different field value. Each identity link must have supporting identifying fields; the legal name must have its own source; author credits must retain the correct contributor. A record awaiting owner confirmation stays open. This condition assesses the cleanup itself, without substituting a promised increase in citations or enquiries.

After authorised edits, recheck the affected page titles, visible organisation descriptions, bylines, profile fields and any structured data actually deployed. A changed webpage and a changed search result are separate observations. This audit did not measure model answers, search-result propagation or commercial outcomes. The next useful step is to implement and re-inspect the agreed corrections, with the ledger showing exactly which entries remain proposed. The inspected Contact page at https://scalegrowth.digital/contact/ provides the route to discuss that bounded work.
